Warlord Games is currently operating in a limited capacity. We are working to process all orders due to the diligent efforts of our volunteer 'skeleton' crew. This does mean, however, that our usually speedy service will unfortunately suffer from some delays. As such we anticipate that orders will currently take between 10 and 14 days to fulfill. We thank you for your patience and understanding during these difficult times. What follows is a message from John Stallard, Warlord Games' Managing Director:
'As the Covid-19 Pandemic continues, Warlord Games continues to monitor any changes and adjustments that need to be adopted, with the paramount safety of our employees, customers and suppliers in mind.
Despite continued Sales, I made the difficult, but I feel responsible decision to temporarily close Warlord Games on Health and Safety grounds on 24th March 2020, we continued to pay our employees in full during this time. The introduction of the Job Retention Scheme followed which allowed our employees to either work from home or transition to a furlough arrangement. Within 2 weeks of this closure we introduced a voluntary scheme to allow a small skeleton team to operate on site under strict Health and Safety guidelines as advised by the WHO, Government and HSE. Employees on site received daily briefings and formal training regarding social distancing, personal hygiene and safety practices.
With effect from Monday 4th May 2020, we envisage more employees can return to work on site and have put in place extensive Health and Safety provisions to include: alteration of room layouts, 2 new shifts with reduced employees with staggered breaks and staggered finish and start times and reduced hours with no loss of pay. We also are providing personal tool kits, have instructed additional disinfection of working areas and strict cleaning regimes. We will be communicating, training and auditing social distancing and safe working practices at all times.
As Health and Safety remains our number one priority, we are ensuring that any employee, (in line with the Government guidelines) who is exempt due to shielding, health issues, living with a shielded or vulnerable person can remain on the furlough scheme until further notice. We fully understand these are unusual, confusing and worrying times but want to reassure our employees and customers that our priority is as ever with our employees first and foremost. Our communication is clear in that, if any employee has any concerns about a return to work, we will discuss this and the option to remain in the furlough scheme will apply.
We will continue to review our processes, amend how we operate if needs be and work alongside Government Guidance.
Best wishes and stay safe,
John Stallard – MD'
